Kundisai's Digital Art

Hi! I’m a digital artist with a focus on anime-inspired and vector art. My love for art goes way back – I was formally trained in high school, but everything I know about digital art is self-taught. My work is shaped by two main inspirations: my passion for anime and a personal exploration of skin tones.

I’m a huge anime fan. I love watching it, and I’m drawn to how anime can be more detailed and stylistically rich than other types of animation. That love naturally translates into my art. But beyond that, I’m also inspired by something closer to home: the different shades and tones that appear naturally on our skin. I notice how the skin is never perfectly even-toned, despite what we’re often told. Real skin is full of subtle variations. This realization led me to exaggerate those shades in my art, highlighting the beauty in what many consider flaws.

I mostly create using Procreate on my iPad Air (4th Gen) with an Apple Pencil. When it comes to what I create, my approach is rooted in freedom and inspiration. I draw whatever sparks my interest, whether it’s a scene from something I’ve watched, a photograph that catches my eye, or ideas from friends and family.

You’ll usually find me listening to anime soundtracks on Spotify when I’m in the zone. My influences range from anime culture and pop culture to my personal experiences. Although I only started digital art last year, I’m currently focused on getting my work out there and building a name for myself.

Through my art, I hope to spread joy and connect with others who love anime or find something relatable in my work. I also hope to remind people that perfection isn’t natural, and that’s okay – our unique qualities make us interesting. On a personal level, art is also a way to express emotions and escape from what’s on my mind. As someone who has faced mental health challenges, creating has been a healthy outlet, and I hope others can see themselves in what I create.
